Willworld page 46

Hal and his friends are small, roaming around on a desk beside a filing cabinet.
This is the stuff of a child's dreams, at least of mine. I always thought it would be wonderful to be small, and imagined how it would be to have all the things I usually held in my hands (pencils, erasers, grass, etc.) to be big enough to use for something significant in my small person's kingdom. Small people are a part of fairy tales from long ago as well--consider Thumbelina and Tom Thumb--so it is probably just the human psyche that loves to imagine being a different size. It is the details of our smallness compared to the hugeness of the things we normally use and forget that give charm to each representation of small people.
