I think Seth must have drawn this while he was in college or soon after. He was still working on the superhero supermuscle look because it was, after all, comic book drawing that he wanted to do, and that's what seemed to be required. But he really didn't take those big bicep guys very seriously, so he wanted to spoof the genre but at the same time draw it as well as the pros.
It's not subtle, but I've always thought this was pretty funny. Note the upside-down guy in the back with the hairy legs. Seth was so hairy himself, he always tried to include hair on at least some of his characters.
Incidentally, there is not one spot of white-out on this page.
