My household is so busy these days that I am going to be a little irregular about posting, at least until the end of the year.This is the page following the one I put up yesterday. That ceiling is black, in all the shots of it. That may be an oddity about this apartment where our protagonists live. Who paints their ceiling a dark color? In any case we have several shots of the inside of the apartment with its peeling paint, and we see that it is not cluttered. Seth knew how to draw clutter, and the fact that the apartment is neat is definitely a statement about the way the characters live. The outside of it, in the bottom panel shows a definitely seedy neighborhood, as did the first panel from yesterday. I think he took real delight in drawing all the elements of aging urban settings, the various power lines and stairways and heating and cooling vents that we see but try not to notice when we are there.
