A couple of days ago I posted a page from Vertigo Pop Tokyo in which Maki attacked a group of fellow students in her school who were harassing her friend Mizumi.
Here are two pages from Seth's sketchbook in which he was working out the images for the various frames on that page.
The larger image on the left corresponds to the small inset frame on the finished page where Maki is kicking a girl in the knee brace. The small one shows her leaping out like Superman.

On the right hand page, the large image is his original idea for Maki jumping into the group of girls. Originally they were all in school uniforms. Eventually the venue was changed to the gymnasium, and the clothes were changed into gym shorts, which made the flying legs more striking.
