I am leaving Thursday for Japan for a couple of weeks. I had thought I'd leave a few postings to be put up at various times while I am away, but I just don't have the time. So the blog will be empty. But never fear, we'll be back with more notes about Seth's work.
In Japan we will be visiting the sites of Seth's first contact with Japan, a lovely cluster of islands about 25 miles from the mainland, in the middle/southern area of Japan. He was already in love with Japan when he went there because of Manga, but his sojourn in the Oki islands sealed it. The people took to him and he took to them. He sampled everything enthusiastically, and made everything fun.
