Why did the editors think that the circling haloed skulls (bottom right in the original) were inappropriate for this page? After all, it is a scene of mayhem and death. But they did. Just the facts, ladies and gentlemen, just the facts.

Looks like they want to cut out all frivolity - after all [ahem], this is a serious comic book! You can't have bunnies, skulls, butterflies, and whatnot! Whatever next?!
